Gone Fishing

With Christmas fast approaching, I would like to share a few pics of the completed "West Wing" festively adorned with sparkly baubles, lush pine garland and of course a beautiful tree.
Unfortunately the camera fell in the fish tank and drowned.
Whatever excuse you believe, something fishy is definitely going on here and it does not include construction pictures....just some pictures of fishy purses with a link to another website for the pattern

She includes an excellent tutorial too.

So once again, for the pattern and tutorial, visit MAKE IT-LOVE IT!

I decided to do things the Turtle way and exclude the purse strap.
I found the drawstring acted as the same.
Happy  Sewing.
I am busy working on a grown-up version and will share in the new year!

  1. Hi Karen, How sweet is this darling fish purse. Love it and the unique design. The fabrics used are so fun and colorful. Thanks for sharing. Your completed project must be spectacular although the link did not take me there. I'll try again. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and all the best in the new year. xo

  2. I have a wildly colored purse with cats on it that I love. These are unique and special, too. I love things where people can express some of their personality in unexpected ways. Crazy socks are good, too--LOL! Looks like you are having fun! :)

  3. The West Wing...*sigh*. I wish Jeb Bartlet could be president again.

  4. How lucky I am to be the recipient of such a wonderful gift! I've already gotten so many compliments on it.

  5. Oh, this is the most adorable thing ever. I hope my cats haven't read the post or they are going to demand a fish bag if their own! Have a great end of the year!

  6. Adorable Karen! Love the colors and patterns :).

    Great to see you're back!

  7. Welcome back! I've been checking for an update on the west wing ;) Sorry to hear about your camera. What a bummer! The bag, on the other hand, is super cute! Makes me want to break out my sewing machine and whip up a few for myself!

  8. 'tis fishy indeed! Them nasty fish feasting on cameras... they must be Japanese...
    Happy Holidays!

  9. Well, I was all set for an update of the west wing and these little fishies go swimming across my screen....too cute!

Hope you have a wonderful Christmas, Karen! Will you be spending some of the holidays with that precious new grandbaby? Wishing you all the best!

    Warm hugs,

  10. The purses are adorable Karen. I love the fabric and colour combos. So fun and unique!

  11. Amazing fishy purses are not exception, either. Too cute and like Tuula says, the fabric combos are really eye catching. Pinned xox

Cheers to great words!
