Valentines Air Freshener For Your Closet or Smelly Car

Oh what a hopeless romantic I've become!   That crazy little Cupid dude.

In a bowl, mix a cup of flour and 1/2 cup salt.

Add a 1/2 cup of water and mix until you get a nicely shaped ball of dough.

Split dough into as many colors as you want.  Knead the color in thoroughly.  Roll out on a floured (I used cornstarch) surface,  about 1/8 of an inch thick.

Cut out all the dough.  If you made a double batch as I did, then you will be cutting out dough for a long time!

A straw to poke a hole for your string is the perfect tool.

A few stamps were used on some of the dough hearts.  Do this before you cut them out.

Bake for about 15 minutes in a 170 to 200 degree oven.  When done, turn off oven and let sunbathe in there until the oven has cooled down.

I painted the heart ensuring the paint went into the depressions from the stamp.

With a damp rag, the excess paint was wiped off!

a dab of the hot stuff!

A string was attached to the heart.  I tied a knot in the one side so that the third heart wouldn't slide down, as pictured below.

A few drops of fragrance oil was rubbed on the back of the hearts.  This took a day to soak in.

I added red paint to the white heart, not pictured, (too lazy) but you will see that in a day or two cuz, well,
stupid  cupid here, doubled the batch.

Now you can hang these pretties in your closet or from your car mirror to keep that romance alive or at least mask the odor of the half eaten burger you chucked in the back seat of your car two weeks ago!
Romance at it's finest!

Cheers!
