The Dormer Series!
A gruelling, sweaty and dusty quest, to conquer what no
man or woman has done before; built dormers on this old girl!
Sure, you may have built dormers on your old girl,
but not this one.

This is one of the rooms about a year before we started the dormers!
It used to be the master bedroom.

And here we are, stuck in Florida.
I would have thought a broken neck from falling off
that steep roof would have been the big hold up,
but no, it's the mail service!
I am definitely looking forward to updating this post.
I can remove the above picture and add faux tin tile ceiling!
Cheers.
Okay, so why did you leave the former master bedroom? Was it freakin' freezin'?
ReplyDeleteIt never goes the way you plan, does it?
ReplyDeleteIt's my dream to have a dormer window in my bedrooms... Your project is truly an inspiration, except for one thing: in my dream, I have a floor ;)
ReplyDeleteStuck in Florida and you don't even get to enjoy the weather! UNFAIR! =D

WoW, that's a job and a half. There is always something standing in the way or not working out as planned. You've done an amazing job and it makes a wonderful addition. Thanks for stopping by my blog (scrapality.com) and leaving a comment. I'm a new follower. :)
ReplyDeleteSTUCK IN FLORIDA has been my theme song for three years, but to be honest, I'm starting to like it. You can always visit me, so I don't think you should be too sad.
ReplyDeleteStill!! Oh you poor thing, I hope they come soon they must be scared of snow.
ReplyDeleteGee that's not fair! Crossing my fingers ;) Yeah, I'd like to know the why?!
ReplyDeleteSince I missed the first phase, I just had a review, what a grand difference in the outside view before and after. Hard work, for sure, and aside from how amazing it looks, I love the hubby's makeshift ladder (and the fact that it was a catchall for your tools, on top of it all.) Maybe the Florida hold up is supposed to give you a respite to do more crafting, although you going down TO Florida to retrieve them is always an option ;-)
ReplyDeleteReally, who could blame those tiles for wanting to hang around Florida a little longer. Actually, I wish I was stuck there with them too. We had a bright sunny past two days, now another storm is blowing through. It's ridiculous. Kinda like tiles taking so long to arrive.
ReplyDeleteStill????? Geeze! Guess I'd stay in Florida too though...it's been an ugly winter!
